The Los Angeles Rams hold a commanding market position ahead of Sunday's NFC West matchup against the San Diego Chargers. On the Kalshi prediction platform, a share for a Rams victory trades at $0.74, equating to a 74% probability. The opposing side for a Chargers win is priced at $0.27, reflecting the market's view on the home team's likelihood of success. The game is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The Chargers enter the contest with a 0-6 record, the worst in the league. Their offensive unit ranks last in scoring, averaging 15 points per game. Quarterback Justin Herbert has thrown for 190 yards per game while tossing eight interceptions against five touchdowns. The defense has also struggled, allowing 25.2 points per game. Despite these metrics, Herbert has contributed 168 rushing yards, and running back Omarion Hampton leads the team with 289 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
The Rams, currently 3-4, possess the best total offensive yardage in the NFL at 399.1 yards per game. However, their point output ranks 11th at 24.3 points per contest. Quarterback Matthew Stafford leads the league with 1,989 passing yards. The team has dealt with injuries, including the absence of defensive end Myles Garrett, but has defeated several playoff-caliber opponents. The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates games 10,000 times, projects the Rams as winners in 73% of scenarios and the Chargers in 27%.
Market prices for specific game outcomes reflect the statistical gaps between the teams. A Rams victory by more than 6.5 points trades at $0.51 for the "Yes" side and $0.50 for the "No" side. The model predicts the Rams will win by 10 points and cover the 6.5-point spread in 57% of simulations. Defensive pressure is a key factor, as Herbert has been sacked 21 times this season, and Rams linebacker Byron Young holds 4.5 of the team's 10 sacks.
Total points markets suggest a high-scoring affair. The line for more than 44.5 points trades at $0.48, with the under at $0.53. The two teams combine to allow nearly 48 points per game. The Chargers have surrendered at least 22 points in all six of their games, while the Rams have scored at least 34 points twice this season. The projection model estimates a combined score of almost 50 points, with the total exceeding 44.5 in 55% of simulations.
