The retail landscape has shifted dramatically as major retailers slash prices on high-end consumer electronics ahead of the holiday season. This week brings an unusual wave of discounts that extends well beyond standard seasonal sales, offering some of the steepest cuts seen this year on premium hardware.

The most striking reduction involves the LG 55-inch OLED evo AI C6 4K Smart TV. Amazon is currently listing this model for $999.99, a reduction of exactly $1,000 from its launch cost earlier in 2026. This price point marks the lowest ever recorded for this specific set. The timing is strategic, coinciding with the imminent release of major video titles such as Grand Theft Auto VI and the remake of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Larger 65-inch and 77-inch variants are also receiving price reductions, with some retailers offering free controllers or prepaid cards as additional incentives.

Google’s smartwatch lineup is seeing significant movement across multiple retailers. The Pixel Watch 5 in the Olive model with a Satin Pyrite case is available at Amazon for $100 less than its standard price. Shoppers looking for the Polished Silver variant can find open-box units in excellent condition at Best Buy for $150 off. The 41mm LTE configuration in Satin Pyrite is listed at $399.99 on Amazon. This price represents the lowest recorded cost for that specific setup, coming in $20 cheaper than the recent fall Prime Day sale price.

Foldable smartphone enthusiasts have found new entry points into the market. Best Buy is offering the 256GB Obsidian model of the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold in excellent open-box condition for $1,480.99. This price is nearly $420 below the standard list price, making it the best deal to date for this device. Similarly, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup is heavily discounted at Best Buy. Open-box units in excellent condition see the Graphite model drop by over $400, while the 512GB version is reduced by up to $580 from its original cost.

Tablet options are also seeing historic lows. The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, has dropped to $256.49. This price requires a specific promo code at checkout and represents a 36% reduction from its regular $400 cost. The device features a 12.1-inch 2.5K display and a nine-speaker JBL audio system. A higher-capacity 256GB version is available on Amazon for $269.99.

Smart home security devices are experiencing steep price cuts as well. Amazon is selling the new Ring 2K smart doorbells for $44.99, a drop of up to 55% from their regular list prices. Both wired and battery-powered versions are available at this rate, which is just five dollars more than the lowest price ever recorded for these units. The Ring Peephole Cam 2K is also discounted to $60, down from its $100 regular price.

Streaming and charging accessories are included in this wave of discounts. The new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is back at its all-time low of $29.99, a 50% discount from its $60 list price. This slimmer model runs directly from a TV's USB port. For power solutions, the Anker Prime 25W 3-in-1 foldable MagSafe charger is available for $99.73, while the Anker Nano 10-in-1 Smart Display Hub is discounted to $79.99.
