The price of Soundcore Space 2 noise-canceling headphones has fallen to $106.49 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart.
This all-time low represents a $23 reduction from the standard price. The discount applies to every available color option as of October 23. The move brings the cost of the newer model closer to that of its predecessor.
The Space 2 serves as the successor to the Space One, a model that John Higgins of The Verge named among the top budget options in 2023. The newer unit carries a list price that is $30 higher than the original. However, the current discount narrows that gap. The hardware retains the core value proposition of the first generation while adding specific improvements.
Active noise cancellation distinguishes the Space 2 from its predecessor. The system handles low-frequency sounds, such as those from train engines or aircraft, more effectively. Design modifications also contribute to more accurate audio output. The headphones continue to support high-resolution LDAC audio and include HearID 3.0.
HearID 3.0 personalizes the listening experience by adjusting settings based on user responses to audio samples. Battery life has also increased. With noise cancellation active, the device runs for up to 50 hours. This is a 10-hour increase over the 40-hour capacity of the Space One. With noise cancellation disabled, the runtime extends to 70 hours, up from 55 hours on the older model.
The unit includes a 3.5mm jack for wired listening if the battery depletes. Playback pauses automatically when the headphones are removed from the head. This feature allows users to stop a song or podcast and resume at the exact point of interruption. The Verge describes the Space 2 as an easy recommendation due to its stronger noise suppression and improved sound quality.
The current price of $106.49 is the lowest recorded for the device. It remains $30 higher than the original launch cost of the Space One. The discount is currently live at the three major US retailers mentioned.
