Samsung Japan has published a definitive schedule for the release of One UI 9, the company's latest software build based on Android 17. The rollout will affect 40 specific Galaxy models across smartphones and tablets. The Japanese market will receive these updates during October and November 2026.

The list includes the current Galaxy S26 series, comprising the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. It also covers the previous generation S25 and S25 Ultra, as well as the S24, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, S23, and S23 Ultra. Among foldable devices, the schedule names the Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5.

Mid-range smartphones on the list include the Galaxy A57, A55, A54, A36, and A25. The tablet roster is extensive, featuring the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, the Tab S10 series, the Tab S10 FE and FE+, the Tab S10 Lite, and the Tab S9 series. The list also includes the Tab S9 FE and FE+, the Tab S6 Lite 2024 model, the Tab A11, Tab A11+ 5G, and the Tab Active 5 Pro.

One UI 9 first debuted in September on the Galaxy S26 series. Since then, the software has reached several devices from the previous generation. Samsung confirmed that the set of eligible devices is expected to apply globally, even though the timing details originate from the Japanese branch.

The 40-device list is not exhaustive. It omits certain "Plus" versions of recent Galaxy S flagships and many Galaxy A models. Devices sold in other regions are also excluded from this specific schedule. Samsung expects to continue the global rollout beyond the November deadline.

Entry-level devices are likely to receive the update through December and January. The company is rolling out the software in stages, with the Japanese schedule serving as the initial benchmark for timing. This approach provides a clear timeline for major hardware segments while leaving room for regional variations in the later months.
