Travis Konecny missed 10 games with a lower-body injury, a span that kept him off the ice for more than three weeks. On Sunday, he scored in his return game, helping the Philadelphia Flyers defeat the Utah Mammoth 6-3.

Konecny broke the 1-1 tie at 1:06 of the second period. He banked a shot past Utah goalie Karel Vejmelka to give Philadelphia a 2-1 lead. Later in the game, Konecny assisted Christian Dvorak on a one-timer from the high slot, extending the Flyers' advantage to 4-1. The winger also recorded four hits, adding a physical element to his offensive contribution.

The victory snapped a three-game winless streak for the Flyers. Matvei Michkov opened the scoring, recording his 10th goal of the season. This marked the first time a Flyer has reached double-digit goals in his first 17 games since Konecny achieved that milestone in 2023. Noah Cates and Oliver Bonk also scored, while Dvorak added an assist to his goal.

Dan Vladar stopped 19 shots for Philadelphia. The Mammoth were held to three goals by Dmitri Simashev, Mikhail Sergachev, and Logan Cooley. Cooley scored on the power play, marking his eighth goal this season. Cole Knuble sealed the result with an empty-netter late in the game.

Owen Tippett returned to the lineup after missing the previous six games due to an upper-body injury. Vejmelka faced 15 shots on goal, though Utah has now alternated wins and losses over its past eight contests.

The Flyers host the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night. The Mammoth continue their six-game road trip in Toronto on the same evening.
