iPhone Duo needs 60W charger for 20-minute half charge
Apple documentation confirms the phone reaches 50% battery in 20 minutes with wired charging, but only if users pair it with specific high-power adapters.

Apple published new documentation confirming that the iPhone Duo reaches 50 percent battery in 20 minutes, but only when paired with specific hardware. The company says the speed depends on using the correct cables and power adapters.
For wired charging, the phone requires the USB-C cable included in the box. Users must also connect it to a power adapter rated for 60W or higher. Apple lists its own 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max as a compatible option, currently priced at $34. Third-party chargers work if they support Adjustable Voltage Supply and USB Power Delivery 3.2.
Wireless charging is slower but still rapid. The phone reaches 50 percent in about 30 minutes when connected to a MagSafe Charger or an adapter rated at 35W or higher. Apple recommends its own MagSafe Charger, listed at $30, or compatible Anker adapters.
The source notes that third-party options often offer better value than Apple’s first-party gear. Anker’s 100W charging brick was highlighted as a top pick for users who also charge Macs and iPads. Apple’s 40W adapter remains a viable choice for those preferring a first-party solution at its reduced price.
Apple also sells a 2-meter USB-C cable for users who need more length than the standard box cable. The company’s support pages now detail these requirements to ensure customers achieve the advertised fast-charging speeds.
