Jackson Chourio went 4-for-4 to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 10-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, extending Milwaukee's lead in the World Series to 3-0. The win gives the Brewers an 8-0 record across the National League Championship Series and the World Series, a streak that would mark the first time in Major League Baseball history a team has won eight consecutive postseason games if they win Game 4.

The Brewers out-hit the Rays 16 to 3 in the decisive contest. Tampa Bay scored its only run in the ninth inning on two hits, a marginal tally after Milwaukee had already established a commanding lead. The Rays have scored just one run in the last two games, having failed to produce after a four-run first inning in Game 2.

Chourio, who is 22 years old, became the youngest player with a four-hit World Series game since Joe Garagiola in 1946. He led off the game with a single, then recorded singles in his next two at-bats. In the fifth inning, Chourio doubled as the Brewers scored eight runs in that frame. The double was the softest of his hits, traveling 99 mph, while his other three hits were classified as hard-hit balls.

The outfielder finished with two runs batted in and one stolen base. Through the World Series, he is batting .571 with two home runs and three stolen bases. He also recorded a key defensive play in Game 2, throwing out a runner at home plate to preserve a lead.

"Yeah, I think that you could say this is one of my better games," Chourio said after the game. "Really, I was just taking every at-bat like it could be my last and trying to find any way I could to get on base. Because I know, as long as I get on base, there's guys behind me who could score."

Brewers manager Pat Murphy noted that the team is not surprised by Chourio's performance, citing his discipline and work ethic. Murphy compared Chourio's drive to that of Kobe Bryant, stating that Chourio is on the same track for continuous improvement. "He's also played incredible defense, and he stole a base tonight. He's a total player," Murphy said.

Chourio was limited to 127 games this regular season due to injury but still posted a 4.9 Win Above Replacement average. He has achieved the 20-20 milestone, combining 20 home runs with 20 stolen bases, in three separate seasons.

The outfielder is under contract with the Brewers through the 2031 season, with two club options extending his tenure through 2033. The long-term deal positions him as a central figure for the organization in the coming years. The Brewers will look to complete the series sweep in Game 4, which would set a new benchmark for consecutive postseason wins.
