The Park Slope Civic Council organized its annual Children's Halloween Parade on Saturday night, drawing crowds to the borough's most decorated streets.
Marchers gathered near the intersection of 7th Avenue and 14th Street at 6:30 p.m. to begin the procession. The group adopted the theme The Haunted Forest of Brooklyn, which directed participants toward woodland and spooky aesthetics for their outfits.
A vintage orange and black Ford led the route down 7th Avenue. The column turned onto 3rd Street and continued to Old Stone House and Washington Park. Attendees stayed at the park for live music provided by the Brooklyn Conservatory.
Costumes ranged from local wildlife to political figures. Two people dressed as pigeons flew alongside a family of scarecrows. One participant wore a headless voter outfit to make a statement. Others dressed as Miss Piggy or Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Some marchers recreated Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show using tall grass props.
The event concluded with the group settling into Washington Park. The Brooklyn Conservatory performed haunting music for the remaining attendees.
