Haddon Township Woman Dies At 37

Cattie Fleming, 37, died in Haddon Township, New Jersey. Her obituary notes that she was born and raised in Cherry Hill. She completed her secondary education at Camden Catholic High School. She earned a psychology degree from Rutgers University. Fleming worked in the human resources department for Holman.

She met her husband, Dan, and the couple raised two children, Graham and Shannon. Fleming first visited an emergency room in 2024. She reported persistent pelvic pain and other symptoms. A CT scan identified a tumor in her rectum. Doctors also found a mass on her liver and nodules in her lungs.

Her diagnosis arrived less than one year after her husband faced a life-threatening medical emergency. That event left the family financially strained. A GoFundMe campaign was established to support the family during her treatment. The fundraising page describes Fleming as witty and intelligent. It notes her love of history, her Irish heritage, and her passion for animals. The page states she called things as she saw them and never rushed to get anywhere too fast.

Survivors include her husband Dan and their two children. Her parents, Gerry and Terri, also survive her. She is survived by four siblings: Gerry, Denise, Tessy, and Ron. Her in-laws, Maureen and Joe, also survived her. Numerous other family members and friends are listed in the obituary. She is also survived by two pet cats, Izzy and Peppy.

The GoFundMe aims to cover the financial costs of her cancer treatment. As of Monday, Nov. 2, the campaign had raised more than $145,000. A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. The service will take place at Christ Our Light Church in Cherry Hill.
